I reviewed the package, I think you should upload it to unstable ASAP. We can then work on polishing it.

Ok, just pushed to NEW!

I've opened an ITP as Bug #1101136. You can see the source code here: <https://salsa.debian.org/tachi/android-udev-rules>. I'll move the repo to the appropriate Salsa namespace when ready.

How about moving it to https://salsa.debian.org/android-tools-team/ ?

Yeah, sounds appropriate. I'll do it after it passes the NEW queue.

As also mentioned in the ITP, I'd greatly appreciate help regarding the correct set of Conflicts/Breaks/Replaces fields needed.

I'm not so good at them, but they should not be a blocker for uploading this. This has to get through the NEW queue, so it needs to be uploaded like now. ASAP.

To be on the safe side, I've set Conflicts: android-sdk-platform-tools-common, so that the user cannot break the system. When it passes NEW, this will need to be changed to a versioned Breaks+Replaces in android-udev-rules' control file, combined with a Depends: android-udev-rules in the old package.

Or that's what I gathered from <https://wiki.debian.org/PackageTransition>.

Hope this passes NEW in time for trixie!

Bye :)
