To be sure: you used the live ISO, to boot the normal debian-installer as you did with the netinst ISO, then went through the whole installation as you did with the netinst ISO, and the result is different from what you get with the netinst ISO? So, you did NOT boot into the live environment and started the debian installation from there? (There is a different, graphical installer, the Calamares installer accessible from the live environment (I think the icon is named something like 'Install Debian'), which could be different in some regards, compared to the usual debian-installer.)
