I can confirm that uncommenting it makes this device work on amd64.

dpt_i2o is only provided on 32-bit arches.  The only way to access I2O devices
on amd64 is using i2o_block.

I believe dpt_i2o is deprecated, so perhaps it'd be a good idea to get rid of
dpt_i2o completely in favour of i2o_block.  But please don't take my word for
it.  You might want to check for a resolution in #370667 (i2o_block for
kernel-wedge) before doing so.
