Betterbird is a softclone of Thunderbird. To improve this bug in Thunderbird, a workaround was created more than 10 years ago[1] . However, after a long time, the developers decided to go back to the standard, which works perfectly with all other mail programmes [quote] This is a Thunderbird bug. If I remember correctly, there was a CVE about the workaround, which also explains the reversion to the standard.
