Yeah, Stefan was talking about bookworm-backports and Xiyue replied about bookworm-proposed-updates, which was a bit confusing. We have several tasks here, in order of priority: 1. ensure that this issue (uncovered by bookworm-backports) does not mean that plain bookworm->trixie upgrades are broken 2. ensure that the issue does not mean bookworm+bookworm-backports->trixie upgrades are broken 3. fix things for current bookworm-backports users. For now I think Xiyue is just trying to understand the nature of the breakage more fully so that we can address (1).
