Package: lvm2 Version: 2.03.27-1 Severity: normal X-Debbugs-Cc: dwfr...@mtu.edu
LVM tools expect to find thin_check and friends in /usr/sbin, but since the rust rewrite of thin-provisioning-tools, they are now found in /usr/bin. LVM actions that would call thin_check and friends (like activating a thin-pool) thus complain about not being able to run them. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.12-amd64 (SMP w/16 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_WARN, TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) Versions of packages lvm2 depends on: ii dmeventd 2:1.02.201-1 ii dmsetup 2:1.02.201-1 ii libaio1t64 0.3.113-8+b1 ii libblkid1 2.40.4-5 ii libc6 2.40-7 ii libdevmapper-event1.02.1 2:1.02.201-1 ii libedit2 3.1-20250104-1 ii libselinux1 3.8-4 ii libsystemd0 257.3-1 ii libudev1 257.3-1 Versions of packages lvm2 recommends: ii thin-provisioning-tools 1.1.0-3+b1 lvm2 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
