Bug#1091696: linux-image-6.12.6-amd64: linux 6.12.6 (Trixie) fails to reboot (SATA SSD not seen by bios)

Hi for what it's worth the problem is reproduced on each new kernel 
version up to now (6.12.12-1).

I understand the bug is marked for upstream, are we just waiting for 
them to get back to us ? I am not trying to rush people here, just 
making sure I have not missed something I should do.
