Package: needrestart Version: 3.8-2 Severity: normal Dear maintainer, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to report this bug, but for a couple of days now, my needrestart (on a Lenovo with a AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650GE with Radeon Graphics) tells me that microcode revision 0x0a50000c is being used, but it expects 0x0a500011 to be loaded. But the only update of a microcode-related update I got recently was for intel-microcode. And dmseg tells me this:
[ 0.981141] microcode: Current revision: 0x0a50000c So it seems the latest microcode that's available for my CPU is already being loaded. Is it possible that this newer version is only for Intel CPUs? Or what could be the reason why the newer microcode isn't getting applied even after several restarts? -- Package-specific info: needrestart output: -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing'), (50, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.13-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_WARN Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages needrestart depends on: ii dpkg 1.22.15 ii gettext-base 0.23.1-1 ii libintl-perl 1.35-1 ii libmodule-find-perl 0.16-2 ii libproc-processtable-perl 0.636-1+b3 ii libsort-naturally-perl 1.03-4 ii libterm-readkey-perl 2.38-2+b4 ii perl 5.40.1-2 ii xz-utils 5.6.3-1+b1 Versions of packages needrestart recommends: ii libpam-systemd 257.3-1 ii systemd 257.3-1 Versions of packages needrestart suggests: ii iucode-tool 2.3.1-3 ii libnotify-bin 0.8.3-1+b2 -- no debconf information
