It would probably be useful to let upstream know that this regressed somewhere between 2.28.0 and commit 38d11e5c: that might be helpful when narrowing down what change caused this. I don't think I can add much value here: I am not an expert on every line of code in SDL, and I have no particular expertise regarding audio capture. I am sorry if this means I fall short of the standards that Debian expects from its maintainers. smcv
