Package: util-linux-locales
Version: 2.40.4-3
X-Debbugs-CC: deb...@helgefjell.de
Secerity: minor

For Debian stable / Bookworm it is:

Package: manpages-de
Version: 4.18.1-1

And this also is still valid for
util-linux-locales_2.41~rc1-1_all in experimental.

In file /usr/share/man/de/man1/fallocate.1.gz, which for
stable/bookworm is in manpages-de and for testing/trixie it is in
util-linux-locale, there is a misleading reference in the German
translation for the supported filesystems to parameter -d, --dig-holes.

The sentence in the English man page reads as follows:
"See --punch-hole for a list of supported filesystems."

This means that the list of supported filesystems is in the
man page itself. The supported filesystems are listet at the
description for the parameter --punch-hole.

The German translation currently reads as follows:
"Mit der Option --punch-hole erhalten Sie eine Liste der unterstützten
Dateisysteme."

This sound like that you have to run fallocate with the --punch-hole
parameter to get this list. This is typically quite common, to have a
specific list like that generated with the program itself, to not
have to maintain a potentially short-lived list within the man page.
But it's not correct in this case, the list is in the man page and a
less ambiguous translation would be, for example:

"Eine Liste der unterstützten Dateisysteme finden Sie bei der Beschreibung zur
Option --punch-hole."

Or more similar to the original translation:

"Bei der Beschreibung zur Option --punch-hole erhalten Sie eine Liste der
unterstützten Dateisysteme."

Even a more literal translation would do the trick, yet this would be
not that unambiguous like the others:

"Siehe --punch-hole für eine Liste der unterstützen Dateisysteme."
