I love all the interest in and activity surrounding yosys in Debian! But when I go to https://packages.debian.org/search?keywords=yosys there's nothing newer than 0.33-6, and _nothing_ in Testing. https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/yosys says yosys 0.33-6 is BLOCKED due to bug #1093368 https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1093368 I think I'm like most people here: not a DD, can build yosys just fine locally, but don't understand the intricacies of the Debian packaging/building framework. When Debian Trixie comes out, I _really_ want to tell a general EDA audience that they can get a working version of yosys with "apt-get install yosys". That worked for Bookworm. It would be sad if it didn't work with Trixie. Finally, I note that yosys "latest release" is 0.50 (Feb 11, 2025). Despite 0.44 being listed on the Debian tracker https://tracker.debian.org/pkg/yosys I can confirm that 0.50 builds easily and runs great in a Bookworm environment. I can (and I guess, should) double check that in Trixie. - Larry
