there are (always) PLENTY of issues.

can you supply a URL that someone with windows can run?  Or, run the application
on WINDOWS so we can get a talkback crash report?

 Hi Wayne,

   Thanks for the reply on this, unfortunately I have literally
*no* boxes here running Windows right now.  All of these
workstations are running Linux, with identical Debian Etch
installs.  We're running firefox under a debugger on one of
the boxes now and going to a site ( overstock.com) which
pretty reliably generates freezes if you navigate around on
it for more than a few minutes.  I'll be posting a stack
trace once we get a crash.
