Hi, I just noticed that #362095 and #368030 appear to be the same bug. I am seeing the same problem on my dl360g1 machine that has a SMART/2 controller (IDA, cpqarray driver). I noticed that the update-grub function "convert_kernel26" is the thing that munges the path to the /dev/ida!c0d0p1 thing. I mentioned it to otavio on irc and he said that it was needed to fix a problem in the 2.6.14 timeframe, but that it's fixed in newer kernels. He's going to find a way to remove it soon.
