People sending signed emails to debian lists that need a valid DD signature is
faced with a rejection and finding our why this was rejected usually takes
asking others who experienced this issue.

(the argument for rejecting thunderbird mails is that the script doesn't accept
partially signed mails, even though the unsigned part effectively says "this is
a PGP/MIME message")

This means people who use thundetbird as their primary email client will be
forced to use another client like evolution just to be able to post to such
lists.

olasd suggested this on #debian-outreach when kanashiro reported he is unable
to post to -devel-announce.

"Praveen: I think not letting through partially signed content is an explicit
(and sound) policy. one should ask listmasters whether the useless line that
thunderbird adds could be ignored by the script

the script is called sigcheck, I'm not on a laptop so I can't look up where it
actually is

maybe Sledge would know, having poked into lists stuff recently"

I think ignoring this specific case would make it easier for many DDs to post
to such lists.
