That version oldstable is completely out of support. Even LTS.
That some ELTS people (which I am not involved in) keep it alive and might fix
stuff doesn't change this, fwiw.
Please try something remotely uptodate, I remember seeing crop-related bugs
fixed/crop-related commits.

Current stable has a also old 7.4.7, so best to try the 24.8.4 in backports for
stable (or try a VM and try 25.2 if you are able to do that).
