Which version of curl were you running before this update? This is indeed a regression, but I've checked a couple of past releases and 8.10.1-2 (October 2024) was already affected by this. I'll have to do a git bisect on upstream to find out exactly when this started happening, but I'm wondering why you only noticed this now.
