Fine. For you information the binary packages of google-android-installers already makes use of the system of alternatives and d8 is part of it.
Priority starts at 51 for build-tools 19.1.0 and is incremented for each build-tools version that has a package. But the 1st version that ships b8 is 28.0.1 and it has Priority 75. For b8 in build-tools 35.0.1 priority is 94. And all future versions of build-tools will be incremented by 1. Can I close this issue?
