Package: pdftk-java Version: 3.3.2-1 Severity: normal Tags: upstream X-Debbugs-Cc: sid.stew...@pdflabs.com, debbug.pdftk-j...@sideload.33mail.com
This bug was previously reported: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=799526 It was closed but the bug still persists in the current version after the transition from pdftk to pdftk-java. There may have been other bug reports that have been lost in this way. Sid Steward-- I’ve got you in copy because I’m not sure if you normally monitor this bug tracker. :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: The "pdftk --help" documentation states that the update_info function is expecting the same format of data from the dump_data function. However, it does not work on a variety of files, even with no alterations. E.g. $ pdftk foo.pdf dump_data | pdftk foo.pdf update_info - Done. Input errors, so no output created. If the piping seems questionable, even the normal approach breaks: $ pdftk foo.pdf dump_data output dogfood.txt $ pdftk foo.pdf update_info dogfood.txt Done. Input errors, so no output created. -- System Information: Debian Release: 12.9 APT prefers stable-updates APT policy: (990, 'stable-updates'), (990, 'stable-security'), (990, 'stable'), (500, 'oldstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 5.10.0-28-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_OOT_MODULE, TAINT_UNSIGNED_MODULE Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages pdftk-java depends on: ii default-jre-headless [java8-runtime-headless] 2:1.17-74 ii libbcprov-java 1.72-2 ii libcommons-lang3-java 3.12.0-2 ii openjdk-11-jre-headless [java8-runtime-headless] 11.0.24+8-2~deb11u1 ii openjdk-17-jre-headless [java8-runtime-headless] 17.0.13+11-2~deb12u1 pdftk-java recommends no packages.
