Hi, I second this bug report!
It happens with just about all GTK+ programs, e.g. GIMP But not at all positions of the mouse. In the case of GIMP it seems to be the text labels of the UI. In order to reproduce it open the print dialog and leave the mouse on top of the label "Image Size" or "Zoom:" or "Printer Name" or "Paper Size"... But it does not happen on top of "Scale by:" or "PPI:" or the text labels of the buttons. Pretty strange, eh?
