vte 0.79/0.80 (part of GNOME 48) wants a newer version of fast-float (see the blocking bug). This was discussed at https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/vte/-/issues/2823 There are a few different ways we could work around this but I'd prefer if we could just update fast-float. fast-float only has one other reverse build dependency: transmission. (It only provides C++ headers so there are no binary reverse dependencies.) Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
