Almost. Yesterday mutt did once sync my INBOX without crashing, but now
the situation is just as before. Also, for a while it seemed to me that
mutt would not crash over syncing mailboxes that I newly create with it.
However, as I'm writing, the situation is completely hopeless again.
Mutt simply crashes over any mbox file. Іn the meantime, I comtemplated
whether dovecot could be mysteriously responsible, as I'm using
dovecot-imapd to access my mail remotely. However, as mutt crashes also
over mboxes that dovecot has never seen, this is unlikely.

I simply ran fakeroot ./debian/rules binary and then took the mutt
binary from the src subdirectory to have a non-stripped binary. I did
not touch debian/rules nor the configure file or anything else.

Please let me know what else I can do to help remedy this.

Thanks,

Johannes
