Hey, FYI - the code causing the issue was removed within this commit:2bcf81b6dffc9ae6748eb251ff54a864b306e794 in upstream "Remove automatic YubiCloud upload" - see here:

So i think a patch on yubioath-desktop should be doable - this is a feature we don't need (i guess).
