Package: pre-commit-hooks Severity: wishlist Dear Maintainer,
Hi, I found out about pre-commit and was happy to see it's packaged in Debian. Thanks for maintaining them. I installed pre-commit and pre-commit-hooks, but I couldn't figure out how to use the packaged pre-commit-hooks with pre-commit. All the information I found on the internet seems to end up causing pre-commit to download random stuff from the internet ... or is pre-commit-hooks supposed to be used by itself, manually running the commands? Please document how to use the packaged pre-commit and pre-commit-hooks together. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.12.9-amd64 (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=pt_BR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=pt_BR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=pt_BR:pt:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages pre-commit-hooks depends on: pn pre-commit <none> ii python3 [python3-supported-min] 3.12.8-1 pn python3-ruamel.yaml <none> pre-commit-hooks recommends no packages. pre-commit-hooks suggests no packages.
