Thank you so much for the report and investigating this to a point where it makes the upload relatively trivial :) I hope I'll have time to deal with this over this coming weekend, but if this is blocking you, NMUs are always welcome! My only request if you NMU, would be to commit your work into git. It's a pretty standard gbp setup under the "debian" namespace so I don't think it'll be very complicated -- but let me know if you run into any trouble. Best, Faidon
