Package: feh
Version: 3.10.3-1
Severity: wishlist

I have noticed that the Debian feh package overrides the .desktop file
provided by upstream. I know, feh.desktop appeared in Debian earlier
than in original sources <https://github.com/derf/feh/issues/98>.
I am curious if there are reasons to maintain a custom variant now?

The original file
- Has --start-at option, so once started, feh may display other images
  from the same directory.
- Custom icon is used instead of a generic one.
- There are some warnings for the Debian version:

  desktop-file-validate /usr/share/applications/feh.desktop
/usr/share/applications/feh.desktop: warning: value "Image viewer" for key "Comment" in group "Desktop Entry" looks the same as that of key "GenericName" /usr/share/applications/feh.desktop: warning: value "Visualisateur d'image" for key "Comment[fr_FR]" in group "Desktop Entry" looks the same as that of key "GenericName[fr_FR]" /usr/share/applications/feh.desktop: warning: value "Bildbetrachter" for key "Comment[de_DE]" in group "Desktop Entry" looks the same as that of key "GenericName[de_DE]"

It should be enough just to drop the debian/feh.install file.
French translation likely may be sent upstream.

I can not say that I frequently use feh, so maybe I just missed
something. Thank you for maintaining this lightweight viewer.
