Thanks Sean. I just have uploaded git/1:2.47.2-0.1 to delayed/2 and posted the debdiff for Jonathan. I still prefer to hold back the bookworm update until we have exposure of the fixes in unstable. Jonathan, if you still feel you prefer not a NMU but do a maintainer update, just let me know and I can immediately cancel the NMU (or if you are fine with it we can reschedule it).
