Package: tftpd-hpa Version: 5.2+20240610-2 Severity: normal
When started from the command line with the "-vv" option using: /usr/sbin/in.tftpd --listen --user tftp --address :69 --secure -vv /srv/tftp when you try to get a file, tftpd-hpa will put messages in /var/log/syslog like: 2025-01-18T11:03:05.569415+00:00 n5010 in.tftpd[41071]: RRQ from ::1 filename dummy.txt 2025-01-18T11:03:05.610814+00:00 n5010 in.tftpd[41071]: sending NAK (1, File not found) to ::1 But when started by systemd with the same options no messages appear. This seems to be caused by the line: RestrictAddressFamilies=AF_INET AF_INET6 in the file "/etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/tftpd-hpa.service". Changing this setting to: RestrictAddressFamilies=AF_UNIX AF_INET AF_INET6 enables messages to be written. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Foreign Architectures: i386 Kernel: Linux 6.12.9-amd64 (SMP w/4 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages tftpd-hpa depends on: ii adduser 3.137 ii debconf [debconf-2.0] 1.5.89 ii init-system-helpers 1.68 ii libc6 2.40-5 ii libwrap0 7.6.q-35 tftpd-hpa recommends no packages.
