Test results from this process remain pending; it's taken me a while to figure out a suitable build commandline. To test the umask results before/after the patch, I intend to use: reprotest --variations=umask 'DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS="nocheck nocross nopgo" LOCAL_BUILD_OPTIONS=nocheck dpkg-buildpacka ge --build=all' '../*.deb' (focusing solely on umask variations using reprotest, and disabling some build features of src:binutils to reduce the build duration)
