The system is Debian Testing. # apparmor_status | grep -B5 cupsd # and redacted a little 15 profiles are in enforce mode. ... /usr/lib/cups/backend/cups-pdf /usr/libexec/geoclue /usr/sbin/cups-browsed /usr/sbin/cupsd//third_party -- 3 profiles are in complain mode. /usr/sbin/cupsd -- 3 processes are in enforce mode. /usr/sbin/cups-browsed (2127) ... 1 processes are in complain mode. /usr/sbin/cupsd (1668) Relatively recenty (a week or longer, just I didn't find time to report earlier on) the apt-get dist-upgrade brought in libreoffice 4:24.8.4-1 and the entire suite. When I needed to do some printing, it ended up mostly failing. Sometimes it would print stuff, but only after a long delay, up to over 2 hrs. In essence, all problems dissolved when I downgraded, with dpkg, since the older versions were not in apt lists anymore. And I now have to hold the old packages. This was what I had to do to get the printing to be done, install these old packages over the new 4:24.8.4-1 ones:: fonts-opensymbol_4%3a102.12+LibO24.8.3-3_all.deb libreoffice_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libreoffice-base_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libreoffice-base-core_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libreoffice-base-drivers_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libreoffice-calc_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libreoffice-common_4%3a24.8.3-3_all.deb libreoffice-core_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libreoffice-draw_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libreoffice-impress_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libreoffice-math_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libreoffice-qt5_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libreoffice-report-builder-bin_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libreoffice-style-colibre_4%3a24.8.3-3_all.deb libreoffice-uiconfig-base_4%3a24.8.3-3_all.deb libreoffice-uiconfig-calc_4%3a24.8.3-3_all.deb libreoffice-uiconfig-common_4%3a24.8.3-3_all.deb libreoffice-uiconfig-draw_4%3a24.8.3-3_all.deb libreoffice-uiconfig-impress_4%3a24.8.3-3_all.deb libreoffice-uiconfig-math_4%3a24.8.3-3_all.deb libreoffice-uiconfig-writer_4%3a24.8.3-3_all.deb libreoffice-writer_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libuno-cppu3t64_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libuno-cppuhelpergcc3-3t64_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libuno-purpenvhelpergcc3-3t64_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libuno-sal3t64_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb libuno-salhelpergcc3-3t64_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb python3-uno_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb uno-libs-private_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb ure_4%3a24.8.3-3_amd64.deb The dpkg log is attached.
