  I have extracted the failing XML fragment into a small DocBook file.  It
passes xmllint, but the tex file produced by db2latex fails to compile.
The key bit seems to be the presence of a <cmdsynopsis> inside a <term>;
this is permitted by the DTD, but the generated TeX is invalid.
