Package: elpa-emacs-dashboard
Version: 1.7.0-3
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream

Dear Maintainer,

The current Debian version of ‘elpa-emacs-dashboard’ invokes
‘linum-mode’ during startup.

That package is obsolete as of Emacs 29.1. Now ‘dashboard-mode’ causes an
error:

    dashboard-mode: Symbol’s function definition is void: linum-mode

The solution is to change ‘dashboard-mode’ to stop using that obsolete
package, that is no longer provided by default in Emacs.
