Hi,
the binary rebuild for version 2024.10+ds-3+b3 on January 7 failed on all
architectures, see [1]
and particularly [2] for amd64. The rebuilds were probably done for the
python3.13 as default
transition [3].
I have just triggered a rebuild on my system using and amd64 sid chroot. This
succeeded without
any problems and no python3.12 dependencies were installed for the build. For
the failing
build there were dependencies on both python3.13 and python3.12 installed. I
assume that
the dependency on python3.12 was dragged in by another package and the build
environment
was broken due to this.
Hence I assume that there is no problem anymore and giving back the builds
would resolve the problem.
If the transition does not do this automatically, then please giveback the
failing builds.
Unfortunately, I cannot do this as a Debian maintainer (not developer).
The builds are marked as Failed; there is no give-back from this
status even as a DD.
The easy option is to do a sourceful upload.
Thanks a lot. I am doing that then.
Best,
Markus
