Can you please test a newer kernel (e.g. from backports or unstable) and
report if that behaves better? The newer the better.

Depending on if that works better or not, we can look for the fix in
upstream or report upstream with a recent kernel (which is what upstream
usually requests if you have a problem in stable kernel).
