Version: 0.10.3-3
Severity: wishlist

Hi,

Adduser maintainer here. greetd is the only package in Debian that uses
adduser --allow-badname, and --allow-badname is not needed any more to
create _greetd. Please consider removing this option, as adduser is
planning to get rid of it soon (maybe even for trixie).

You may also revisit your postinst regarding the adduser calls; it is
adduser's goal to be idempotent so that it can be called without
scaffolding. The output to stdout in the successful case will go away
before trixie, so it is probably not needed any more to redirect output
to /dev/null.

You might want to try your postinst with the adduser from experimental.

Thanks for helping!

Greetings
Marc
