Package: opensm Version: 3.3.23-3 Severity: serious Tags: ftbfs patch Justification: fails to build from source (but built successfully in the past) X-Debbugs-Cc: invernom...@paranoici.org
Dear Debian HPC Team, I am worried by the long absence of package 'opensm' from Debian testing. The latest upload to unstable has been performed back on September 2024 and the package has failed to migrate to testing since then. The [reason] seems to be that it fails to build for arch:all ... [...] | • Issues preventing migration: | • missing build on all | • arch:all not built yet, autopkgtest delayed [...] [reason]: <https://qa.debian.org/excuses.php?package=opensm> It seems that Michael Biebl [pointed out] the issue a few days after the upload to unstable. [pointed out]: <https://bugs.debian.org/1052380#38> Please fix the issue, by reverting the [commit] that fixed bug #1052380 and by applying the patch suggested by Michael Biebl. Or otherwise by following another strategy. But please fix the issue as soon as possible. We do not want opensm to miss the release of Debian trixie, do we? [commit]: <https://salsa.debian.org/hpc-team/opensm/-/commit/465a124d3f3579f9d61a53571f32356d212d89b8> Thanks for your time and dedication. Bye (and Happy Holidays!)
