Package: firmware-sof-signed Version: 2024.09.1-1 The 2024.09 update (e.g. firmare-sof-signed-2024.09.1-1) is missing some files critical for many laptops with Intel Lunar Lake laptops.
See original report at (this from Fedora user but same problem in Debian): https://github.com/thesofproject/sof/issues/9723 The files in /lib/firmware/intel/sof-ipc4-lib need to be copied also: https://github.com/thesofproject/sof-bin/tree/v2024.09.2/v2.11.x/sof-ipc4-lib-v2.11.1/lnl These are not present in the Debian package: https://packages.debian.org/sid/all/firmware-sof-signed/filelist This will block audio driver to load on laptops with - Intel Lunar Lake - HDA audio codec and PCH Digital Mic The DSP topology used on these laptops will load a module that is shipped as a loadable module, as and this is not shipped in the RPM, the driver load will fail.
