Not entirely sure I follow. I sent the patch one week ago, when it would have fixed lazy-regex 3.1.0-6 and made all its autopkgtests pass, which I had tested :-) Upload of 3.3 then introduced new test failures which my patch could not fix for sheer lack of clairvoyance!
By the way, what matters is we're converging to a solution!
