This is a native package so you can change the "upstream" files directly.

Run the chmod commands from debian/rules on those files. Then you can

I noted the repo was in salsa's debian group, so I pushed a fixed for this to master. I can also do an NMU for this (pushing commits to master) if you are low on capacity. I am looking into fixing `dh_fixperms` to make that `execute_after_dh_fixperms` truly redundant (for now, I just tweaked it to avoid it stumbling over itself).
