Package: freeipa-client Version: 4.12.2-1 Severity: important Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation? I've been tracking trixie/sid from cloud images from earlier this year, but have reproduced this issue on today's sid cloud image and it's still present, so it's not that I have broken my old installs. Having installed freeipa-client, I run sudo ipa-client-install --mkhomedir Earlier in the year, this failed with a cryptographic error; right now it's failing immediately with what looks like a dependency issue. * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or ineffective)? Installing python3-ifaddr removes the immediate failure. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.3-cloud-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=C.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=C.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages freeipa-client depends on: ii bind9-dnsutils [dnsutils] 1:9.20.3-1 ii bind9-utils 1:9.20.3-1 ii certmonger 0.79.19-1+b3 ii curl 8.11.0-1 ii dnsutils 1:9.20.3-1 ii freeipa-common 4.12.2-1 ii krb5-user 1.21.3-3 ii libc6 2.40-4 ii libcom-err2 1.47.2~rc1-2 ii libcurl4t64 8.11.0-1 ii libini-config5t64 0.6.2-3 ii libjansson4 2.14-2+b3 ii libk5crypto3 1.21.3-3 ii libkrb5-3 1.21.3-3 ii libldap-2.5-0 2.5.18+dfsg-3+b1 ii libnss-sss 2.9.5-4 ii libnss3-tools 2:3.106-1 ii libpam-sss 2.9.5-4 ii libpopt0 1.19+dfsg-2 ii libsasl2-modules-gssapi-mit 2.1.28+dfsg1-8 ii libssl3t64 3.3.2-2 ii libsss-sudo 2.9.5-4 ii oddjob-mkhomedir 0.34.7-2.1 ii python3 3.12.7-1 ii python3-dnspython 2.7.0-1 ii python3-gssapi 1.9.0-1+b1 ii python3-ipaclient 4.12.2-1 ii python3-ldap 3.4.4-1+b3 ii python3-sss 2.9.5-4 ii sssd 2.9.5-4 Versions of packages freeipa-client recommends: ii chrony 4.6.1-1 ii sssd-passkey 2.9.5-4 Versions of packages freeipa-client suggests: pn libpam-krb5 <none> -- no debconf information
