If you have emailcheck_resolve_domain set to YES in the configuration then
postfixadmin doesn't allow you to add a domain ending in .onion.  I think that
it's reasonable to want DNS checks for the cases of domains that are being
used on the public Internet while also allowing the use of .onion domains for
private communication.

Like you said, you could disable "emailcheck_resolve_domain". On the other hand, even for private communication, you would need to set up a functioning DNS in your (internal) network for email to work, otherwise emails with the destination of .onion cannot be routed.
