One workaround is to add something like this to debian/rules export DEB_CFLAGS_MAINT_APPEND = -Wno-incompatible-pointer-types It might need a few more "no"'s for the other new gcc-14 errors mentioned on the upstream bug. Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
