Package: mc Version: 3:4.8.31-1 Dear Maintainer,
If I start mc or mcedit, then press F1 followed by F3, the program dies with a segmentation fault. I ran across this by accident, so I had no expectations. However, if I navigate to a different help screen and press F3 ("Prev"), I get back to the main help screen, and pressing F3 there will have no effect if the first link is highlighted. The crash only happens if I haven't left the main help screen since last opening it. - Michael -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.11.10-amd64 (SMP w/32 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Kernel taint flags: TAINT_WARN Locale: LANG=en_CA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_CA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_CA:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages mc depends on: ii libc6 2.40-4 ii libext2fs2t64 1.47.2~rc1-1 ii libglib2.0-0t64 2.82.2-3 ii libgpm2 1.20.7-11+b1 ii libslang2 2.3.3-5+b1 ii libssh2-1t64 1.11.1-1 ii mc-data 3:4.8.31-1 Versions of packages mc recommends: ii mailcap 3.74 ii perl 5.40.0-8 ii sensible-utils 0.0.24 ii unzip 6.0-28 Versions of packages mc suggests: ii 7zip [p7zip-full] 24.08+dfsg-2 ii antiword 0.37-16 pn arc | arcanist <none> pn arj <none> ii atril [pdf-viewer] 1.26.2-3 ii binutils 2.43.50.20241126-3 ii bzip2 1.0.8-6 ii cabextract 1.11-2 ii catdoc 1:0.95-5 pn clzip | lunzip | lzd | lzip | lziprecover <none> | minilzip | pdlzip | plzip ii cpio 2.15+dfsg-2 pn ctorrent <none> pn dbview <none> pn default-jdk-headless <none> pn djview4 <none> pn djvulibre-bin <none> ii elinks 0.17.0-2+b1 ii epub-utils 0.2.2-6+b2 ii evince [pdf-viewer] 46.3.1-1+b1 pn exif <none> ii file 1:5.45-3+b1 ii genisoimage 9:1.1.11-4 ii gettext 0.22.5-2 ii ghostscript 10.04.0~dfsg-2 pn glade <none> pn gputils <none> ii groff-base 1.23.0-5 ii gv [pdf-viewer] 1:3.7.4-2+b2 ii imagemagick 8:7.1.1.39+dfsg1-3 ii imagemagick-6.q16 [imagemagick] 8:6.9.13.12+dfsg1-1+b1 ii imagemagick-7.q16 [imagemagick] 8:7.1.1.39+dfsg1-3 ii info 7.1.1-1+b1 pn jlha-utils | lhasa <none> pn kchmviewer <none> ii libaspell-dev 0.60.8.1-1+b2 pn libbatik-java <none> pn libchm-bin <none> pn liblz4-tool <none> ii libxml2-utils 2.12.7+dfsg+really2.9.14-0.2+b1 ii links 2.29-1+b3 pn links2 <none> ii lynx 2.9.2-1 pn lyx <none> ii man-db 2.13.0-1 ii mikmod 3.2.8-3 pn mpg321 <none> ii mplayer 2:1.5+svn38542-1 ii mupdf [pdf-viewer] 1.24.10+ds1-1 pn odt2txt | unoconv <none> pn par2 <none> pn poedit | potool <none> ii poppler-utils 24.08.0-3 pn procyon-decompiler <none> ii python3 3.12.7-1 pn python3-boto <none> ii python3-tz 2024.1-2 pn rar <none> pn rpm <none> pn sox <none> ii sqlite3 3.46.1-1 ii texlive-binaries 2024.20240313.70630+ds-5 ii timidity 2.14.0-8.2 pn unace | unace-nonfree <none> pn unalz <none> ii unar 1.10.8+ds1-6 pn unrar | unrar-free <none> ii vorbis-tools 1.4.2-2 pn wimtools <none> pn wv <none> pn xpmutils <none> ii xz-utils 5.6.3-1+b1 ii zathura-pdf-poppler [pdf-viewer] 0.3.3-1 ii zip 3.0-14 ii zstd 1.5.6+dfsg-1+b1 -- no debconf information
