After editing it bonfire is now compiling instead of bombing out on the error posted above. Then I decided to look at the package that smpeg.m4 belongs to and see if there was a bug report on it. I see that there is and it's over one year old now. I am requesting that the bug either be fixed and closed, or that the bug be listed as 'will not fix' and closed with the reason given upon closing it with the will not fix status. Or at least up the bug to 'Normal' severity with 'Patch available' please, as this bug is quite disconcerting when trying to compile something from source that depends upon the macro. bonfire is supposed to be a very nice cd/dvd burning application, and I intend to use it for a time and if I find to indeed be a very nice program then I would like to recommend that it be added into debian. However, I thought it might be best to get this bug fixed first, which bonfire depends upon. If something can be done about this bug please take action.
