Dear Maintainer, *** Reporter, please consider answering these questions, where appropriate *** * What led up to the situation? The developer chose ambiguous names initially, which led the debian maintainer to change the names. These are unwieldy and impact day-to-day use of the programs. With the current, changed names (dadd --> dateadd, ddiff --> datediff etc) the changes are unnecessary and should be reverted back. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers plucky APT policy: (500, 'plucky') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.11.0-8-generic (SMP w/8 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=de_DE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=de_DE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_US:de Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages dateutils depends on: ii libc6 2.40-1ubuntu3 ii tzdata 2024b-1ubuntu2 dateutils recommends no packages. dateutils suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
