Dear Maintainers,

Currently gbp import-orig --uscan --upstream-version=xxx passes the version to
uscan as --download-debversion as is documented.

It seems to me that it would make much more sense to use uscan's --download-
version, especially after it gets fixed (see #1087641), as this is usually a
manual operation and the user is much more likely to try to use a version
string as provided by the upstream project, e.g. "1.2.3-rc-4". With that
example it is actually not possible to correctly use gbp import-orig as the
final "-3" would be automatically removed by uscan expecting a debian revision
there. One could pass --upstream-version=1.2.3-rc-4-0 but then the "-0" would
appear in commit messages.

A patch and MR to fix this will follow.

Thanks and best regards,
