Hi your package acpi showed up as a candidate for the Bug of the Day[1]. I realised that the package is team maintained in principle but its not really clear to me, how to contribute to this team. I've found some other acpi-related packages on Salsa in Debian team space. Thus I decided to create a repository for acpi there[2]. It is my hope to enable easier contribution from other developers if the package is available on Salsa. I would not call this bug report a formal Intend To Salvage bug but I like to follow this procedure with a 21 days waiting period. Your package meets the criteria for this process. As the Salvage process suggests, here is a list of the criteria that apply, in my opinion: - NMUs, especially if there has been more than one NMU in a row. - Bugs filed against the package do not have answers from the maintainer. - There are QA issues with the package. As I said I've moved the packaging into Debian team space. If you choose not to accept this, I'd be more than happy to help you move it to another location wherever you prefer. As mentioned above your package was highlighted in the Bug of the Day[1] initiative, which aims to introduce newcomers to manageable tasks and guide them through the workflow to solve them. The focus of this initiative is on migrating packages to Salsa, as it's a great way to familiarize newcomers with a consistent Git-based workflow. Kind regards Andreas.
