Thanks for the offer for help, I would not mind actually, i'm curious why I see this, the code in unattended-upgrades does not use threading and python-apt also seems to not use threading. I'm a bit out-of-touch with the latest apt development but I'm not aware that there is threading used there now. So I wonder whre this comes from. I can reproduce it though (which is good).
