Package: imagemagick Version: 8:6.9.11.60+dfsg-1.6+deb12u2
Hi,the debian and ubuntu package for imagemagick is outdated. https://legacy.imagemagick.org/ considers this as a "legacy" version and recommends to install a 7 version. Version 6 seems to lack function and to not conform with the offical documentation.
sid (unstable) seems to contain both 8:6.9.12.98+dfsg1-5.2 and a 8:7.1.1.39+dfsg1-2 , so debian already knows how to build, it just doesn't find it's way into stable.
