Package: nm-connection-editor Version: 1.36.0-3 Severity: normal Hello,
Like discussed in IRC, mobile-broadband-provider-info is not installed anymore but it seems that nm-connection-editor needs it. Searching in the source code of the archive[1], it seems that the files provided by this package are used at several places, including by NetworkManager itself. I see several solution here: 1. make NM depends directly against mobile-broadband-provider-info 2. make libnma0 depend against mobile-broadband-provider-info (with or without NM recommending or suggesting it) 4. Make nm-connection-editor depends against mobile-broadband-provider-info again 3. Let the desktop meta-packages depend on it My preference goes to 1 or 2 as this will cover most of the packages Kind regards, Laurent Bigonville [1]https://codesearch.debian.net/search?q=mobile-broadband-provider-info&literal=1&perpkg=1 -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers unstable-debug APT policy: (500, 'unstable-debug'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental-debug'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.11.5-amd64 (SMP w/12 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=fr_BE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_BE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE=fr_BE:fr Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages nm-connection-editor depends on: ii dbus-user-session [default-dbus-session-bus] 1.14.10-6 ii gnome-shell [polkit-1-auth-agent] 47.1-2 ii libc6 2.40-3 ii libglib2.0-0t64 2.82.2-2 ii libgtk-3-0t64 3.24.43-4 ii libjansson4 2.14-2+b3 ii libnm0 1.50.0-1 ii libnma0 1.10.6-5 ii libselinux1 3.7-3 ii network-manager 1.50.0-1 nm-connection-editor recommends no packages. nm-connection-editor suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
