Dear ftp-master, Please remove taskd from Debian. Taskserver (taskd) is only compatible with taskwarrior 2.x, and is no longer actively developed [1]. Taskwarrior 2 used taskd as a server for its synchronization. Taskwarrior 3 has a completely new sync implementation, and does not interface with taskd. This new version also introduces Taskchampion, a new task-storage alternative [2]. Other than that, the upstream recommended solution is a cloud-storage backend.
